Friends & Family of Someone in Need

If someone you know is currently struggling with addiction or already in a treatment program, The Bridges Network can provide the support they need to succeed. Often, the most difficult stage of the recovery process is the transition from treatment programs back into everyday living.

Many people feel overwhelmed, isolated and hopeless when faced with these challenges. Without the structured environment, ongoing support and accountability of an ongoing recovery program, as many as 50% can relapse within the first year.

Our Virtual Bridging Program provides the structure, support and accountability they need stay on the right track.

Program Features:

Structure & Accountability
Structured continuing care programs, like those for airline pilots and medical professionals, help participants maintain their commitment to recovery with structured activities and regular assessment throughout the transition period, and research shows success rates as high as 90%.

Our Bridging Programs were created on these principles. Accessible anywhere via the web, participants take part in up to 26 group sessions, providing a structured schedule of activities. If participants fail to attend their scheduled programs, the Bridges Network can contact appropriate family members, sponsors or regulatory agencies.

Real-Time Video Chat
The key to this program's success is the ability to participate in online group sessions and individual mentoring with real-time voice and video chat. Participants can experience the same connections and accountability they get from face-to-face counseling and meetings, increasing their commitment to getting better.

Privacy
Participants enjoy complete privacy throughout the recovery process. They can choose to use real names, first name only or even a screen name, and no one except the session leader is ever visible through the video chat. Accessible from home or anywhere else via internet connection, participants can join group sessions from the privacy of their own home, from a hotel room when traveling or from the homes of friends and family.

Gender-Specific Groups
Groups are available for Men and Women, allowing for a more comfortable group dynamic than large co-ed sessions. Additionally, there is also a separate group designed specifically for Professionals, offering support for participants dealing with professional requirements, travel and other business-associated pressures.

Education & Resources
More than just mentoring or coaching, our programs also include training in valuable life skills vital to successful recovery. Sessions help participants deal with common triggers and diversions like relationships, financial issues and parenting. We also provide access to a wide range of resources, both online and locally, for treatment centers, counseling, twelve step programs and more.

Licensing & Judicial Advocacy (Virtual Bridging Plus Program)
For those at greater risk of relapse or with additional licensing or judicial requirements, the Plus program provides active testing, documentation and advocacy services. Our representatives will work to ensure participants meet all legal obligations or requirements for employers and licensing agencies.

"I just completed an online treatment program and The Bridges was the logical next step. It's all online. I have my privacy, I can afford it and it fits my lifestyle."
